The Southeast Michigan 10s District Qualifier took place this past weekend, May 15-17, at Franklin Athletic Club.   This is our top tournament for the 10 and under player and it was truly amazing to see the level of play these young men and women brought to the courts!  The tournament was played with a green ball on regulation size courts and counted for a player's Earned Advancement.  While our Boys division dropped to 16 boys this year, we were thrilled to see the Girls division grow to 24 participants!

Our top finishers were:

Main draw - Boys

Daniel Stojanov - CHAMPION

Rishi Verma - Finalist

Main Draw - Girls

Emma Roeck -  Repeating CHAMPION

Grace Shaya -  Finalist

Consolation Round - Boys

Alex Prather - Winner

Ian Pinnoo - Finalist

Consolation Round - Girls

Cleo Wang - Winner

Ana Teofilovic - Finalist

SPORTSMANSHIP WINNERS - Girls Division: Alicen Liu / Boys Division: Clayton Anderson

The top finishers in the Southeast Michigan 10s Qualifier (Main Draw Champion & Finalist) will receive an automatic entry (Endorsement) into the Midwest Closed 10s Outdoor Championships (July 10-12). Additional Quota Spots (5 boys and 5 girls) and Alternates for the Midwest Closed 10s Outdoor Championships will be selected from the top Southeast Michigan Players on the most recent Midwest Standing List posted before the Midwest Closed 10s Outdoor Championship deadline. This tournament was a District Level 2A and Midwest Level 3 Event for Points Per Round.
